Red Oak Communications Ltd was engaged to provide event management and media relations services for the launch of the Lake Naivasha Basin Ecosystem-Based Management Project, held on 14 April 2025.
The event was funded by the National Environment Trust Fund (NetFund) and officiated by the Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Forestry, Hon. Deborah Baraza. It brought together senior government officials, development partners, environmental experts, and key stakeholders committed to sustainable ecosystem management.
The three-year initiative, funded by the Global Environment Facility through WWF US and implemented by NetFund, aims to restore biodiversity and address ecosystem degradation within the Lake Naivasha Basin, one of Kenya’s most critical ecological and economic landscapes.
Red Oak Communications managed the planning, coordination, and execution of the launch event, alongside strategic media engagement and publicity to ensure strong visibility and stakeholder participation. Through effective media relations and event coordination, the launch successfully highlighted the importance of ecosystem restoration and climate resilience in the Lake Naivasha Basin.
